100 days of Hope: Day One

I’ve been quiet for a while—and that has been okay. But I realized something important: staying quiet doesn’t serve anyone, including me.

So today, I’m beginning something new. As a small motivation for myself, and hopefully an inspiration to you, I’ll be sharing each day what I’ve been up to in finding hope in the world.

We all need more hope. It’s so easy to get weighed down by the constant noise of the world—fear, adrenaline, and never-ending headlines that drain our energy and attention. Instead of living in that cycle, I want to create what I call an essence focus—a way of noticing and sharing what’s alive in my heart and mind each day. My hope is that these reflections give you a gentle reminder that light, beauty, and connection are still everywhere around us.

The Challenge: 100 Days of Hope

Here’s my personal challenge: for the next 100 days, I will actively look for hope—wherever I can find it—and share it with you.

It doesn’t have to be grand or complicated. In fact, I want it to be simple. Maybe this practice will make life feel just a little better, a little lighter, and a lot more hopeful for the future ahead.

And I’d love for you to join me. What if we made hope something we all chose to notice, each and every day?

Day One: Hope on the Trail

This morning, I went on a hike. It felt so good to move my body, but what really struck me was noticing what was blooming all around me.

At one point, a rabbit hopped up onto a rock, paused for a moment as if it wanted to be seen, and then leapt away. I stood there for a while, watching the sunrise crest over the mountains.

Nature always reminds me of hope. It tells me that I am supported in whatever I do, that I am loved and cared for. The beauty of creation is given so freely and abundantly, and when I’m outside, I feel connected both to myself and to God.

I’m grateful I took the chance to step outside and let nature speak to me.

Let’s Share Hope Together

I’d love to hear from you:
👉 What are some things you notice around you that bring you hope?

I’ll be here tomorrow with Day Two. In the meantime, here’s the link to today’s YouTube short if you’d like to see a glimpse of the hike.

Let’s find hope together.
