Day 20 of 100 Days of hope

Looking Up: Finding Hope in the Clouds

One of my favorite things about hiking is looking up at the morning sky. There’s something breathtaking about the clouds at that time of day. They’re often painted in pinks and oranges, soft and fluffy, with light streaming through them in unexpected ways. It feels like a masterpiece is created just for that moment.

Clouds remind me of hope.

Why? Because to see them, you have to look up. Clouds are constantly changing. They never stay the same. One minute they’re scattered, the next they’re heavy and full, and sometimes they clear altogether to reveal the brilliant blue sky. And yet, in each moment, they hold a kind of beauty that invites us to pause.

For me, clouds are more than just part of nature—they’re a reminder that I am known, loved, and supported by God. When I take time to notice them, it feels like receiving a personal gift. In that moment, I remember that I am not walking this path alone. My Savior surrounds me with reminders of His love in the simplest and most beautiful ways.

Worship Through Nature

Today is Sunday. For me, it’s a day of worship, of reflecting on my Savior and the blessings in my life. When I look up at the sky, I see more than just clouds. I see His handiwork. I see an invitation to remember Him and to trust that I am supported, guided, and loved.

There is something deeply comforting in knowing that even the clouds—something so ordinary and so fleeting—can hold a message of hope. It reminds me that His presence is always near, even in the smallest details.

Hope in Dark Times

I know that in dark and difficult seasons, it can be hard to see hope. Life’s challenges can feel heavy, and the idea of “looking up” may feel impossible. But the clouds remind me that even when things change, even when storms roll in, there is still beauty to be found. The sky is never static, and neither are our lives.

Hope isn’t always found in grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s in the simple things: a sunrise, a kind word, a gentle reminder from nature that you are cared for and not forgotten. The clouds teach me to keep going, to trust in my Savior, and to remember that I can lean on Him no matter what.

An Invitation for You

So I wonder—what are the ways you are reminded that you are supported? Where do you find those little gifts that help you feel less alone?

Maybe it’s in the laughter of a child.
Maybe it’s in the warmth of a friend’s hug.
Maybe it’s in the quiet stillness of a sunrise.

Hope often shows up in unexpected ways, if only we take the time to look for it.

My prayer is that you will see the beauty around you, notice the magic of nature unfolding, and feel how deeply loved and supported you are. May you know that you are not alone.

Look up. Hope is there.
